Ambassadors for Agriculture, Forestry, and Natural Resources

Oregon State University's Ambassadors for Agriculture, Forestry, and Natural Resources travel Oregon speaking with high school students about options for a successful future in higher education and beyond.

The ambassadors present information and answer students’ questions about OSU, college life, and, more specifically, the academic programs leading to careers in the applied biological sciences and natural-resource management, policy, communication, and education.

Some of the exciting jobs held by graduates of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry include:
  • Ecologist for the Nez Perce Tribe
  • Brandymaker for E & J Gallo Winery
  • Internal medicine physician at St. Luke's Hospital in Idaho
  • Golf course superintendent for the Pebble Beach Golf Links
  • Wild horse and burro specialist for the Bureau of Land Management
  • Park guide and natural resource interpreter for the National Park Service
  • Biomedical research and development liaison for the U.S. Navy in Southeast Asia
  • Wilderness ranger and resource manager for the United States Forest Service
  • Chief executive officer for the National Association of Wheat Growers
  • Outdoor recreation planner for the Bureau of Land Management
